In the Netherlands, between 90,000 and 127,000 children are not safe at home every year. They receive little attention and love, are beaten, abused, or witness violence. There are also many children who experience stress because their parents divorce or a family member dies suddenly. All these experiences can damage children's development, sometimes with major consequences, even later in life.
The Augeo Foundation has the motto 'Every child safe'. The foundation was established in 2006 and initially focused on developing e-learning for professionals to better identify child abuse. Since then, they have become active on many more fronts.
They have now also developed an e-learning course specifically for volunteers who work with children. The course is free and takes about an hour. You can take the course at the time that suits you best and can also pause to continue at a later time. Do you volunteer with children? As a volunteer, you might suspect that something is wrong, but what do you do then? Take this course!
This course is offered on another website. You do not need to register, and there is no maximum number of participants.
