Socially Responsible Business
Socially Engaged Entrepreneurship: Together we make a difference!
Socially Engaged Business (SEB) is about the positive impact your company can have on society. It is an umbrella term for initiatives and investments through which you support social causes or specific target groups, distinct from your day-to-day business operations.
Through SEB, you contribute to a livable and thriving local community—one that both you and your employees are part of. You do this by actively supporting social organizations—for instance, by making your time, facilities, materials, expertise, or network available.
How can you be socially involved as an entrepreneur?
For example, you can:
- Collaborate with a social organization: provide short- or long-term practical support or share your expertise.
- Make facilities available: offer space, vehicles, or materials such as used computers or furniture.
- Share your expertise: for example, by drafting a communications plan, assisting with fundraising, or providing support with other challenges.
- Give employees the opportunity to volunteer for a certain number of hours per month or year during working hours.
