What is Fonds Goed Idee?

Fonds Goed Idee is a fund that provides financial support for initiatives organized by residents, neighborhood groups, and/or (non-profit) organizations within the Municipality of Groningen. The aim is to organize activities and/or projects for children and young people in their local neighborhoods. These initiatives primarily target children and young people growing up in households with limited financial means. Ideas can range from workshops to clothing drives, and much more. The Municipality of Groningen has commissioned link050 to manage the fund and evaluate applications. Do you have an idea or initiative? We look forward to receiving your application. What requirements must your idea/initiative meet?

When implementing your idea or initiative, you should primarily involve children or young people growing up in low-income households. The funds may not be used to cover personnel or volunteer costs. You are required to show how your idea or initiative was carried out—either during or after its implementation—using methods such as photos, videos, or social media. We also require a financial overview of your (projected) expenses and a subsequent financial report.

How do you submit an application?

Fill out and submit the Fonds Goed Idee application form, or make an appointment at link050 (Herestraat 100, Groningen) if you need help completing it. The volunteer board of Fonds Goed Idee assesses whether your idea or initiative qualifies for funding. Board members can also provide support and advice regarding your application. Please submit your plan to us at least six weeks before the project is due to take place. The board meets every four weeks to review applications. You can request a financial contribution of up to €1,500 per idea or initiative.
