For young people with dementia, exercise is very important. Cycling on a tandem bike is a fun and sociable way to get out and about together.
You make our (young) residents incredibly happy by cycling a lap with them!
Our tandem bikes have an electric drive, which makes cycling effortless and enjoyable!
Tasks and duties
- Go for a bike ride with young resident(s) for an hour or half a day per week.
- You can cycle in the neighborhood, but you can also, for example, cycle to the resident's former neighborhood or take a stroll through the city center.
- You coordinate with care colleagues regarding when you visit and where you cycle with which resident.
Skills and qualities
- You are able to walk well.
- You are fit enough to ride a bicycle (or tandem) with electric assistance.
- You enjoy helping others.
- You can strike up a conversation with people.
- You are social and calm.
