You are part of the FC Groningen organization. The feeling of belonging to a big family. That you are called up for all major events at Euroborg (FC Groningen home matches) and potentially for away matches!
In addition to the fact that a volunteer allowance is paid for these activities, FC Groningen also takes care of other matters such as work clothing (jacket), training, and possibly a packed lunch.
Furthermore, the volunteer organization (VRG) organizes various activities throughout the season.
Tasks and duties
As a steward, you are a point of contact for visitors to FC Groningen. You hold an important, supervisory, and customer-friendly position. You monitor the flow of people and search visitors at the entrance. You answer questions, inform visitors, and direct them. You are able to identify and resolve all kinds of (minor) situations in a communicative manner and/or call for assistance if necessary.
Skills and qualities
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable people who:
Be between 18 and 60 years old.
- Be available for home and away matches of FC Groningen.
- Be alert and assertive.
- Be flexible, stress-resistant, and possess a substantial degree of responsibility.
- Be presentable and customer-friendly.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be decisive and self-confident.
- Able to collaborate with all disciplines within the club.
- Be prepared to follow the prescribed clothing instructions.
- Willing to take courses and attend instruction days, including the KNVB/UEFA steward training (approx. five half-days).
