We organize half-hour story sessions at the petting zoo. There, children listen to short stories about farm animals. Reading aloud helps with children's language development. In addition, their imagination is stimulated, and they learn more about our farm animals. The children sit comfortably on the straw bales in our barn. We offer this service to individual visitors and to groups from SKSG and similar organizations.
Tasks and duties
You are going to read to the children for half an hour. There are storybooks ready. In the winter, you sit in the stable with the guinea pigs, rabbits, and goats. In the summer, you sit comfortably outside among all the other animals.
Skills and qualities
- Communicate clearly and calmly.
- Having an affinity with young children.
- Being able to connect with the world of young children.
- Have an interest in stimulating language development in young children.
- Being able to make a connection between the stories and the petting zoo.
Additional information
We would like to offer the half-hour reading sessions weekly on Wednesday and Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM.
Groups come by appointment, at different times. You can decide for yourself when and how often you read aloud.
