As a VC, you are in contact with participants who sign up for a peer support group and support volunteers who work as buddies.

What are you going to do?

  • You have the first telephone contact with participants who sign up to join the peer support groups.
  • Administration regarding the peer support groups
  • Contact with the volunteer facilitators of the peer support groups in collaboration with the project coordinator

Additionally, it would be great if you would occasionally support the volunteer coordinator of the individual matches; this could include the following tasks:

  • You conduct introductory interviews with participants and volunteers.
  • You match volunteers with participants
  • You support the contacts between volunteers and participants
  • You support and guide volunteers

What we ask:

  • You have an affinity with the questions and problems of people who have experienced loss and enjoy making a good match.
  • You have an open mind and you are flexible and socially skilled.
  • You are available for an average of 4 to 8 hours per week for at least 1 year.
  • You can communicate clearly and work carefully.
  • You enjoy working with the computer, and working digitally is no problem for you.
  • You are good at planning and organizing
  • You feel connected to the values of Humanitas

Ons doel is dat iedereen volwaardig kan deelnemen aan de maatschappij. Jaarlijks geven circa 3000 vrijwilligers 6000 deelnemers een steuntje in de rug op weg naar zelfredzaamheid.
