- The opportunity to work in a bicycle shop run by people facing barriers to employment.
- In this way, we would like to get in touch with someone who can participate fully. Through teamwork and leading by example, you can help guide our participants in repairing bicycles. The regular supervisors remain responsible for the supervision, so you do not need to view this supervision as a heavy burden. Above all, we want you to enjoy your work.
- If you do wish to take on responsibility for supervision, this is possible in consultation with management.
- A volunteer allowance is negotiable if no placement opportunity exists and the conversation reveals that your professional knowledge and mentoring skills are sufficient to support our project management. We will only make final agreements regarding this after a short work placement period.
Tasks and duties
- Dealing with customers, accepting assignments.
- Repairing bicycles.
- Working with the participants.
- Ensuring a positive work atmosphere and productivity.
- Potentially assist with administration.
Skills and qualities
- Some understanding for the target group.
- Customer friendliness.
- Willing/able to cooperate.
Additional information
We do not offer a salary, but travel and expense reimbursement are possible. We want to enable volunteers to dedicate themselves to our target group with motivation and without extra costs. Not everyone is suitable for guiding our target group; therefore, we would like you to come and meet us first before we make concrete arrangements.
Our paid employees remain ultimately responsible for the supervision. Above all, we want you to enjoy working with us.
