Tasks and duties
Westerholm is a small-scale residential care center for the elderly in Haren. Westerholm is situated in a neighborhood with spacious avenues and greenery, close to the center of Haren. The organization has a long history of simplicity and class. Loving attention and friendly, respectful treatment are paramount. Every week, there are numerous activities for residents, such as gymnastics, pétanque, painting, shuffleboard, and bridge. There is also a regular concert or lecture. Visitors from the neighborhood also participate in activities.
- Pouring coffee/tea, setting the table, and helping with the communal meal.
- Engaging in conversation with residents, playing games, reading the newspaper or a book together.
- Walking with a resident and/or running an errand together.
- Accompanying a resident to the hospital.
- Assisting the activity supervisor with activities and other odd jobs.
Skills and qualities
- You enjoy interacting with people and have an affinity with the elderly.
- You see the work that needs to be done and want to get to work.
- You are honest and reliable and look neat and well-groomed.
