Tasks and duties
Do you love music, storytelling, and connecting with people? And do you want to contribute to a vibrant music venue in Groningen? Would you enjoy helping to build a place where music brings people together? Then we are looking for you!
Muziekhuis050 is a foundation in Groningen where music takes center stage. Since 2021, we have been offering music lessons, orchestras, bands, choirs, and workshops for young and old. Examples include Jeugdorkest050, Bigband050, a pop choir, ensembles, and projects for primary schools. Our goal is to make making music together accessible to everyone, including those for whom music lessons are not a matter of course.
In addition to lessons, we regularly organize concerts, workshops, and other musical activities.
What are you going to do?
As a PR and communications volunteer, you help us reach more people and make our activities visible. For example, you could:
- Writing posts for social media and the website
- Promoting events and concerts
- Contributing ideas for new ways to reach the audience and participants
- Take photos and write short reports of activities
- Help make flyers or posters
- Maintain contact with local media or cultural agendas
- You work together with teachers, musicians, and the board of the foundation.
Skills and qualities
We are looking for someone who:
- Takes pleasure in communication and culture
- Can write, film, or photograph creatively and has ideas for promotion
- Is good with social media
- Can work independently
- Has an affinity with music
