We are looking for a citizen aged 55+ from Groningen who is willing to share their thoughts on the end of life through an interview with medical students from the University of Groningen.

Would you like to talk to us about the end of life?

For the Medicine program at the University of Groningen, we are looking for citizens aged 55 and older, residing in the city of Groningen or willing to travel there, who wish to share their thoughts and experiences regarding end-of-life issues with second-year medical students.

What is it about?

Medical students learn not only from books, but also by engaging in conversation with the public. Through your participation, you help students strengthen their skills in communication, empathy, and listening.

You do not need to have personal experience with dying or grieving. It is precisely about your perspective, considerations, and ideas regarding the end of life.

What do we ask of you?

• An interview of approximately 30 minutes with two or three students

• An open conversation in a safe and respectful setting

• Available in November 2026

Practical information

• After registration, a short intake interview will follow. We will discuss your motivation, your capacity to work, and what you can expect.

• Participation is voluntary. There is no compensation.

Why participate?

Your contribution makes a real difference. You help future doctors be better prepared for conversations about major life events early in their training.
