The Food Bank helps people living in poverty or financial need by temporarily providing them with free food parcels. In addition, they actively combat food waste by giving products that would otherwise be destroyed a good purpose.
We offer you a great workplace where, 6 days a week, together with other volunteer colleagues, you ensure that over 2,000 people in the City of Groningen have something to eat.
Tasks and duties
As a driver, you will primarily drive in and around Groningen to pick up food products from various supermarkets, bakeries, and wholesalers. After the morning run, various additional trips are often scheduled, including trips to Meppel, Drachten, Arnhem, or elsewhere in the country.
Skills and qualities
- You are in possession of a Category B driving license.
- Driving takes place 6 days a week from 07:00 to approximately 13:00, and on extra trips it can sometimes extend to 15:00.
- You can indicate yourself how many days you want to work.
- The schedules are created together with colleagues in close consultation.
