Tasks and duties
WelZINN offers an extensive program focused on the well-being of the elderly. There is a focus on art, music, and culture. We organize recurring activities, theme weeks, and participate in various projects. Volunteering in elderly care is incredibly diverse!
As a volunteer, you assist with the bingo for residents with a psychogeriatric background (PG); these are residents with dementia.
You help with:
- Setting up the room and things
- welcoming and guiding residents during the bingo
- Creating a nice, relaxed atmosphere
- Cleaning up afterwards
- You work together with colleagues and other volunteers from WelZINN. The bingo takes place weekly on Tuesday afternoons from 14:30 to 16:00; volunteers are present from 14:00 to 16:30.
Skills and qualities
- You have an affinity with the elderly, preferably with the dementia target group.
- You are patient, friendly, and considerate of others.
- You enjoy contributing to a pleasant afternoon
- Experience is not necessary; enthusiasm is.
