Many enjoyable contacts with people in the neighborhood. You work in a friendly team where you can also exchange a lot of ideas with each other. You can decide for yourself how often you join in.
Tasks and duties
As a volunteer, you and your buddy ride the neighborhood company's cargo bike to De Fontein, where you prepare coffee and tea and place them on the bike along with the cups. You ride to the Selwerd shopping center with your buddy, where you hand out coffee to passersby and are open to a chat. Sometimes it's a lighthearted chat, sometimes people share their life stories. Around 12:00 PM, you return the coffee cart to De Fontein to put the equipment back in place and return the cargo bike. The coffee cart fulfills a need. The coffee cart is in Selwerd every two weeks. A roster is used that you can sign up for. You always work together. Therefore, you work a maximum of once every 14 days; however, you can also schedule yourself less frequently.
Skills and qualities
You are capable of offering a listening ear; you realize that you cannot solve all problems. You are willing and able to refer people to the neighborhood pastor or minister if necessary.
Additional information
The activity is organized by the local church. You do not need to be a member of the church yourself.
