Tasks and duties

We are looking for someone from the City of Groningen region, preferably from one of the neighborhoods where we are active (Korrewegwijk, De Hoogte, Selwerd, Paddepoel, Tuinwijk, or Vinkhuizen). The goal of the neighborhood concierge is to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood. You do this by, among other things:

• To identify abuses and report them to the appropriate authority(s).
• To be a point of contact for residents with questions.
• To clean up litter.
• Bulky waste to be collected.
• And to carry out other tasks that come by from the Neighborhood Company.

In addition, you will supervise volunteers, participation officers, and interns who support you in these activities. In this position, you have the opportunity to learn and grow in the field. Therefore, you do not (yet) need to meet all the job requirements when you apply.

Skills and qualities

• You are not afraid to take initiative: if you encounter matters that do not directly fit within your duties, you take them on (in consultation).
• Representative: you are a point of contact for both residents and authorities.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• You are confident and capable of guiding people.
• Flexible: the tasks can vary considerably, and it is important to be able to switch gears.
• Customer-friendly and reliable.
• Able to work in a structured manner according to schedule.
• In possession of a B driving licence, preferably BE.
