Tasks and duties
As a host/hostess, you play a central role in the meeting hall and have a professional appearance. You are a good listener and can interact with elderly people who have dementia and/or mental health issues. You are the point of contact for residents, visitors, and tenants of the common areas and ensure that the right question reaches the right person.

- You can work both independently and as part of a team.
Skills and qualities
A personal, welcoming reception at the information point is very important in this low-threshold facility. You ensure an inviting atmosphere and contribute to a tidy and well-maintained environment, such as the reading table with magazines and newspapers and the coffee area. You show visitors the way and inform them about the various organizations operating in the building. Additionally, you handle light administrative tasks such as maintaining the resident list and communicating by telephone with various departments.

Additional information
During an introductory meeting, we assess your current situation and what you need. Sometimes, during this conversation, it becomes clear that there is a possibility for a participation job (Municipality of Groningen, Ten Boer, Zuidhorn), a reintegration program, or a day activity placement.
It is not a problem if you need extra support, provided we can arrange something for that under the WMO; ultimately, what matters is that everyone is satisfied with the work content and the support.

Onder de naam Buurten bij Bernlef worden diverse werkzaamheden uitgevoerd in en rond het woonzorgcentrum Bernlef. In de ruim honderd appartementen wonen vooral ouderen, die op bepaalde terreinen ondersteund worden. Op de begane grond is het wijkrestaurant van WerkPro gevestigd. In het restaurant eten dagelijks meer dan 60 buurtgenoten uit de wijk Paddepoel. Daarnaast bezorgen we maaltijden aan huis bij de bewoners van het woonzorgcentrum.
