The Beestenborg petting zoo in Ulgersmaborg has existed for almost 35 years. It is a green oasis where children and young people can get acquainted with various animals. It is a wonderful meeting place for young and old to get to know each other and the world of animals. Since 2014, Beestenborg has featured a large playground with a terrace. The playground is wheelchair accessible and bears the NSGK quality mark. In short, a unique place for everyone!
Tasks and duties
In the run-up to yet another new season at the Beestenborg petting zoo and playground, we still have room for volunteers to strengthen our sales point team. As a host/hostess, you are primarily responsible for selling coffee, tea, ice cream, etc. Other duties for the staff member include (in consultation) keeping the office, sales point, and sanitary facilities tidy. Ideally, you are available for at least one afternoon (from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM) or morning (from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM) per month.
Skills and qualities
- You have a practical and flexible mindset.
- You are social.
Additional information
We offer a safe environment for children to play and interact with animals. The trust placed in us by the children's parents/guardians is important to us. Since August 1, 2015, clients from Zorgboerderij de Golden Raand have also been working at de Beestenborg during the week.
