About De Mooiste Routes

De Mooiste Routes offers beautiful nature routes for walkers, cyclists, and canoeists of consistent, high, guaranteed quality. Volunteers and staff at De Mooiste Routes (DMR) have a passion for beautiful routes: we create them and love sharing them with as many people as possible. We enjoy letting users enjoy nature to the fullest, and we teach them more about the area, which provides an enhanced experience. We spend more time indoors than we would like and move too little. And yet, it has been proven that people are fitter, more positive, and happier after spending time in nature. Nature has an effect on social contact, personal development, and our mental health. Developing and maintaining the routes is volunteer work, and it is always especially nice when people enjoy that work.

De Mooiste Routes is a club with about 150 enthusiastic route makers and inspectors who create and maintain routes in the Netherlands with great passion. This concerns walking, cycling, and canoeing routes. The website offers access to more than 1,600 routes, and new ones are constantly being added. You can also join walking pools, so you walk with a small group.
