In the Permaculture Garden at De Mikkelhorst, we garden with nature rather than against it—natural management. We try to create a sustainable, edible garden for people and nature. This means a garden with many edible plants and shrubs, and biodiversity.
By covering the soil with biodegradable waste (pruning waste, grass clippings, sawdust, wood chips, etc.), for example, we nourish the soil and can easily ensure that fewer weeds grow in the garden around the plants.
If you would like to help with the maintenance and further development of the Permaculture Garden, then we are looking for you.
The work takes place on Wednesday mornings, where you will be supervised and trained by two enthusiastic volunteers.

Garden work all year round.
Skills and qualities
You are interested in permaculture and would like to maintain the garden using this method.
