About Energiebank Groningen
Energiebank Groningen was established in 2025 with the aim of helping households in our municipality that are struggling to pay their energy bills. We believe in an inclusive energy transition in which *all* residents of Groningen can participate—regardless of income, background, or living situation.
Our coaches visit people to provide them with information about their energy bills, ways to reduce consumption, and how to create a healthy indoor climate. We also immediately schedule an appointment with our FIXbrigade. The FIXbrigade installs materials such as draft strips, radiator foil, and LED lights. This immediately saves a lot of energy and costs. And that… completely free!
