A foundation by and for parents of the childcare benefits scandal 

For years, parents have been wrongly accused by the Tax Authorities as fraudsters, with unprecedented emotional, relational, and financial consequences. Unfortunately, there are tens of thousands of families suffering from the consequences of the childcare benefits scandal, and they are still waiting for recovery. As a volunteer for Stichting (Gelijk)waardig Herstel), you can offer direct support and make a difference for a family. 

Since October 2023, Stichting (Gelijk)waardig Herstel) has been offering a human-centered recovery approach developed by parents and independent (personal injury) experts. We work based on self-direction, trust, neutrality, and collectivity. Our goal is to work together to resolve the childcare benefits scandal as quickly as possible and to offer parents the opportunity for emotional and financial recovery.

Where you can make a difference for a parent by participating as a Listening Writer.

This is what you do as a Listening Writer

In the recovery process, the parent's own story—the Factual Account—takes center stage. To get this down on paper, the parents (the Storytellers) are supported by a Listening Writer: a volunteer from the community who listens without judgment and writes down the parent's Factual Account. For the parent, the Factual Account consists of three parts: who were you before all the misery began, where do you stand now, and where do you want to go? Once the Factual Account is on paper, the parent can choose to have it calculated. In this way, as a volunteer, you make an important contribution to the emotional and financial recovery of the parent.
