GoudGoed thrift store has the motto “Thrift store with opportunities”—that is about items and people.
Useful, unique items at great prices! At GoudGoed, 90% of all donations are reused. Give items a second chance and help encourage reuse!
Our stores are staffed by people facing barriers to employment who are supervised by our work supervisors. Volunteers and interns also pitch in. Together, we get the job done.
About GoudGoed
The GoudGoed thrift stores collect usable goods. Goods are delivered to drop-off points or are picked up (free of charge). Everything that is still usable is sorted and repaired if necessary. The items are priced and sold in one of the GoudGoed thrift stores.
What happens to the proceeds?
We spend our money on caring for people and caring for the environment. These are the two objectives of GoudGoed. GoudGoed is a non-profit organization and is part of the WerkPro foundation. People facing barriers to employment are guided and trained here so that their chances of securing a regular job increase. Through their work, people take steps towards independent living, housing, and working. The guidance is aimed at strengthening individual capabilities and improving labor market position.
The proceeds are used for:
- Guiding and training people with a distance to the labor market.
- Supporting various charities. (read more on our website)
- Rent, maintenance and personnel costs
WerkPro is a broad welfare organization involved in work and social services. We offer all kinds of activities for people who cannot (yet) find a regular workplace on their own. Our volunteers receive a small expense allowance or travel allowance that depends on the volunteer's level of independence and work experience.
Main activities
WerkPro considers the following tasks to be its core activities: activation, day activities and care, social entrepreneurship, and learning(d) through work.
