Are you someone who keeps an overview, thinks ahead, and gets energy from organizing? Do you see what needs to be done and do you enjoy working with the Head Gardener on garden plans and a broader vision for the garden? Can you help bring structure, monitor actions, and develop ideas into clear plans? Then we warmly invite you to join our team as a volunteer right-hand to the Head Gardener.
Tasks and duties
- Contribute to project plans and documents regarding the overall vision for the garden.
- Translating ideas and input from the head gardener into clear plans and well-organized documents.
- Making appointments, preparing and planning consultations/meetings.
- Mailbox management: reading, replying to, and composing emails.
- Monitor actions and agreements.
- Researching information relevant to the garden team, such as laws and regulations that may apply to the Hortus.
- Coordinating with colleagues, volunteers, and external parties where necessary
Skills and qualities
- Experience in drafting policy plans.
- Be communicatively skilled and able to switch quickly between different tasks.
- Is a true central figure, connecting people effectively and efficiently.
- Enjoys working on preserving and strengthening the Hortus
