The Hortus works with over 150 volunteers and 14 staff members. Partly due to the growth in the number of visitors, we are also able to welcome new volunteers. That is why we are building a volunteer coordination team. In this multifaceted role, you ensure a warm welcome, good organization, and clear communication. In short, everything related to volunteers.
Tasks and duties
Together with other coordinators, you help organize everything related to volunteers. Think of:
- Contribute ideas for a good introduction and orientation program
- Assisting with registration and administration
- Coordinating with communications and other teams
- Gathering signals from volunteers and sharing them
- You work partly on location (especially in the beginning) and partly from home.
Skills and qualities
We are looking for someone:
- Who likes to connect and maintain an overview
- Has experience with organizing or coordinating (can also be in volunteer work)
- Feels involved in a green, inclusive environment
- is available for 2 half-days per week
