The target group is fun to work with. They enjoy contributing to the maintenance of the garden. They do need some guidance with this, however. Most residents can be directed in this regard.
Tasks and duties
For our residential facility, we are immediately seeking enthusiastic volunteers with green fingers. We have a beautiful garden in the city center of Groningen. This garden is maintained once a month together with the residents. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in the garden and is willing to maintain it so that it remains a pleasant place for our residents. Our residents are adults with a mild intellectual disability. Supervision is always present. After the gardening morning, a delicious lunch is provided consisting of soup and sandwiches.
Skills and qualities
- Green thumb.
- Some experience with the target group.
- Available for 2 to 3 hours on Saturday mornings, once a month.
