About IMC Weekendschool

The weekend school challenges its students to push their boundaries, look further, and dare and do more. The goal is for students to gain a clear picture of what society has to offer and what opportunities are available to them. This knowledge forms the basis for making independent, motivated choices, such as in the fields of education and career.

IMC Weekend School focuses on young people aged 10 to 14 from disadvantaged neighborhoods. At IMC Weekend School Groningen, young people from the neighborhoods of De Hoogte, Vinkhuizen, Oosterpark, Paddepoel, Selwerd, Tuinwijk, Lewenborg, and Beijum receive supplementary education on Sundays. Passionate guest lecturers allow the young people to actively experience what their professions entail. The students are taught by, for example, journalists, doctors, artists, or lawyers.
