About Joseph Haydnschool

The Joseph Haydn public primary school in Groningen has the motto 'Good in the basics, broad in development'. Our activities focus on providing high-quality education in an atmosphere of mutual respect, appreciation, and tolerance. We believe it is important that children feel safe and at home at our school. We strive to equip our pupils with the basic skills, attitude, and knowledge that enable them to participate fully in their own way and actively shape a dynamic and democratic society.

LUNCHTIME CARE: TMO is the childcare service for Haydn School pupils who stay at school during the lunch break. The school aims to provide safe care in a pleasant atmosphere for the children staying for lunch. During lunchtime, the emphasis is on fun and relaxation. Your child(ren) must bring their own food and drink.

The children stay for lunch in their own group under the supervision of a lunch supervisor. The groups usually have the same supervisor. The division of the lunch groups follows the class divisions as closely as possible. There is one supervisor per group of 20 children; if significantly more children stay for lunch, an additional supervisor will be assigned.

The school is ultimately responsible for your child during lunchtime. This responsibility for daily management lies with the coordinator. The attendance of the children staying for lunch on fixed days is checked and recorded by the coordinator or the supervisors.
