About Kamers met Aandacht

When you have just found your own way, you often still need help from family and friends. But what if that social safety net is missing and you have no trusted place to return to? Stichting Kamers met Aandacht is a non-profit organization whose goal is to help vulnerable young people on their path to independence. That is why we are looking for people who want to rent out a room to young people between the ages of 18 and 23 who are ready to live on their own but still need an intermediate step. A room *with* attention! Our mission: to provide living space for young people who do not yet have an insufficient safety net, money, or practical skills to live completely independently. Our goal: to promote a positive transition out of youth care. And thereby reduce the number of homeless young people. Kamers met Aandacht is a non-profit organization; we are a recognized charity. " Kamers met Aandacht" ensures a careful match between landlord and young person. The landlord decides for themselves how much attention they wish to offer and consults with the young person and their support worker on how this will be done. Perhaps you would enjoy having a young person join you for dinner occasionally? Would you like to play sports together? Or would you rather help with the paperwork? Some young people are willing to do a favor in return, such as household chores, walking the dog, or running an errand. Anyone and any living space—with families or single people, in student houses or shared living arrangements—can become a Room with Attention. If you rent yourself, you can obtain permission to participate without losing your housing allowance. For stability, we ask that you rent out the room for at least a year (maximum five years). For more information on registering as a landlord, you can attend an online information session (registration via website).
