About Longfonds
In the Netherlands, there are over a million people with a lung disease, such as asthma, COPD, or a rare lung disease. The Longfonds (formerly Astmafonds) is dedicated to them. We fight for healthy lungs and against lung diseases, because healthy lungs are of vital importance.
The Longfonds is both a health fund and a patient association, and advocates for the interests of people with lung disease. This is done through advocacy for members, providing information and advice, sharing experiences, funding scientific research, and carrying out projects in the areas of prevention, improving care, and quality of life.
