We want to bring repairing back into the local community. We want to preserve and spread repair knowledge, and promote social cohesion by connecting neighbors with very different backgrounds and motivations within the framework of inspiring and accessible gatherings. The RepairCafé is not a free repair workshop, but a neighborhood meeting place where the focus is on repairing *together*, knowledge transfer, and social contact. Repairing takes place *during* the RepairCafé meeting, in the presence of and, if possible, with the cooperation of the owner of the broken item. Broken items are therefore not dropped off at the Repair Café and picked up again later.
Nowadays, we basically hold a 'little café' every Thursday morning. People with broken items come there, along with repairers. Together, we look at what can be done.
We do this as part of the WIJ-Groningen community room.

- Nov 20 to Dec 4 open as usual at the Rivierenhof
- Dec 11 closed; we are moving
- Dec 18 to Jan 8 repair café closed; holidays and vacations; reorganization
