Interesting or nice about this vacancy
Are you looking for social contact and do you enjoy being active? Do you have a fondness for old crafts?
In Museum de Wachter, there are various workshops showcasing old crafts, a clog maker's workshop, a blacksmith's forge, a wheelwright's workshop, and also a collection of steam engines. We consider it important to preserve this cultural heritage and show it to visitors.
You are welcome to support us in this. You do not need to have experience with a craft; you will work in a team of colleagues who can teach you the tricks of the trade.
In addition to the crafts, Museum De Wachter also consists of a bakery, a collection of old everyday objects, and, of course, the beautifully restored mill.
The museum is run entirely by volunteers and is open on Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays from April through October. During the winter period, we carry out maintenance on the mill, the buildings, and the workshops.
Tasks and duties
We would love to hear which craft you are most passionate about.
During an introductory meeting, we can tell you what the possibilities are and discuss what suits you best.
Skills and qualities
As a new employee, you will be trained within your team, and you will learn everything related to your role from your colleagues.
Additional information
The Wachter team consists of a group of enthusiastic people. We attach great importance to collaboration and a good time together.
On Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, there is a work session where you can get to work with your team. We also have coffee together then. Feel free to drop by for a chat and a cup of coffee or tea.
During your shift on Saturday, you are welcome to join us for lunch, and of course, we will provide freshly brewed coffee and tea.
If you have any questions or would like to respond to this call, please contact Koos by email at koos@dewachter.nl
