In addition to the technical crew, we are looking for volunteers who can provide support.
We largely handle the technical aspects of our performances during Noorderzon ourselves. Each performance venue works with a professional technical team consisting of a stage manager and a lighting and sound crew. In addition to this crew, we are looking for volunteers to provide support. You will primarily assist with the setup and dismantling of the performances, and occasionally you will also have a role during the show. All of this is supervised by the on-site stage manager. For this position, (some) knowledge of theatre technology is naturally a plus, but if you are interested in delving deeper into theatre technology, we certainly have a place for you.
So, if you enjoy helping us with the technical side as a volunteer and want to gain experience in this area, then this might just be the place for you as a volunteer at our festival. Most 'shifts' within this volunteer position take place daily between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM and between 6:00 PM and midnight.
The minimum age for technical work at Noorderzon is 16. You only need to be at least 18 for evening shifts.
