About ReShare Leger des Heils
In the Netherlands, we discard about 17 kg of textiles per person annually. We can give that clothing and textiles a second life. That is why the Salvation Army has been collecting second-hand clothing and textiles for over 100 years; we do this under the name "ReShare". The ReShare Stores are our own second-hand and vintage clothing shops. Here we sell beautiful clothing at a fair price and offer a cup of coffee and a listening ear to anyone who needs it. The social character of the store is evident in the friendly staff, who offer a listening ear when extra attention is needed, or a cup of coffee to warm up or take a rest. Part of the staff in the ReShare Store is employed by us. As a volunteer, you are involved in the entire process. When the clothing arrives from our sorting center, you ensure that it ends up in the right place. You help customers, advise them on questions about the clothing, pour them a cup of coffee, and take the time for a good conversation if customers need it.
