The Red Cross North Netherlands region is looking for Good Prepared workshop leaders.
The Netherlands is a safe country, but emergencies such as power outages, floods, or extreme heat can occur here too. That is why it is important that people know how to prepare. Do you want to contribute to a resilient society? Then we are looking for you!

Tasks and duties
As an information officer/workshop leader, you conduct interactive workshops and information sessions in Groningen, Friesland, and Drenthe, where participants learn how to prepare for emergency situations. With the game Geen Nood! (No Emergency!), you provide insight into risks and help people put together a customized emergency kit in an accessible way.
You give the workshop on request to various target groups. You do this, for example, in a community center, at the library, or at associations.
Everyone leaves with practical tips to apply immediately at home. Then, when something actually happens, they feel more confident and resilient.
A workshop lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. You conduct at least 8 workshops per year, preferably in the province where you live, and you assist with the preparation of your own workshops.
Skills and qualities
- You have an affinity with the theme of resilience and prevention.
- You have experience in guiding groups.
- You know how to inspire and motivate participants.
- You are flexible and have the ability to switch interactively at different levels.
- You have a valid driver's license and the availability of a car.
