About Scoutinggroep Zwervers Groningen

Scouting is all about challenges! At Scouting, children and young people spend their free time in nature in an active and challenging way. They have a lot of fun together and learn to cooperate and respect one another. The Scouting program is tailored to the age-specific needs of children. The Scouting program is characterized by free play with many activities, paying attention to the immediate environment. The Scouting method is based on the principle of ‘learning by doing’. Scouting is a playground for children and young people to develop themselves.

Our sections hold a meeting every Saturday afternoon or every Friday evening. The different age groups in our Scouting group are the Beavers (5 to 7 years old), Cubs (7 to 11 years old), Scouts (11 to 15 years old), the Section (15 to 18 years old), and the Rover Crew (18+). Every year there are three camps, including abroad for the older children. In addition, our scouting group is committed to helping others, for example by participating in campaigns. Everything is done by volunteers.
