Do you enjoy hands-on work and like getting your hands dirty? Setting up and dismantling the Groningen Four Days Marches is a major challenge – from flags and fences to power and technical equipment. As a volunteer on this team, you ensure that everything is in place.
The Groningen Four Days Marches is the new walking event of the Netherlands, where sportsmanship, culture, and conviviality come together. From Tuesday, August 4 to Friday, August 7, 2026, you will walk in four stages through the best Groningen has to offer – from the bustling city center to the tranquility of the vast Ommeland. With daily start and finish at the atmospheric Grote Markt, up to 3,000 participants can choose from distances of 20 or 40 kilometers.
Tasks and duties
- Setting up tents, flags, barriers.
- Support technology (cables, power, speakers).
- Clean up and dispose of afterwards.
- Assisting with logistical tasks on location.
Skills and qualities
- You are physically fit and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
- You work well with others.
- You like practical results.
Additional information
- Deployment on Sunday, August 2, Monday, August 3, and Saturday, August 8.
- Multiple shifts possible, including in the evening.
- Food and drinks are, of course, taken care of.
