After an introductory meeting, we offer training and guidance from one of our colleagues. The work involves diverse tasks and extensive contact with the target group.
Tasks and duties
Kledingbank Maxima Stad is looking for shop staff. Kledingbank Maxima Stad is a cashierless clothing store for low-income individuals in the city of Groningen.
The tasks for volunteers are varied:
- Receiving, showing around, and advising customers if necessary.
- Sorting and presenting clothing.
- Setting up the store.
- Inventory management.
- Light cleaning work.
- Reception duties.
And participation in the bimonthly meeting.
Skills and qualities
In addition to enthusiasm and commitment to the target group and the purpose of the Clothing Bank, we ask for a practical minimum of two half-days and a maximum of four half-days per week. We expect volunteers to be willing to cooperate and to respect the privacy of colleagues and customers. The working language in the shop is Dutch, so volunteers must have a basic command of the language.
Additional information
We work with two seasons: a spring/summer collection and an autumn/winter collection. The collection changes take place in February and in July/August, and the store is closed to customers during those months.
