The many beautiful wall and vault paintings and the magnificent Schnitger organ make this monumental building the city's most important historical cultural heritage. The church fulfills a broad public function and has grown over the past decades into a versatile and unique venue for conferences, dinners, anniversaries, lectures, concerts, and exhibitions. Every Sunday, the Martinikerk is used for what it was built for: holding church services.
