About Stichting Martinikerk Groningen
The Martinikerk is the oldest church in the city of Groningen. The many beautiful wall and vault paintings, and the magnificent Schnitger organ make this monumental building the city's most important historical cultural heritage. The church fulfills a broad public function and has grown over the past decades into a versatile and unique venue for conferences, dinners, anniversaries, lectures, concerts, and exhibitions. Every Sunday, the Martinikerk is used for the purpose for which it was built: holding church services.
Rental for events and concerts. Outside of rentals, the church is open to tourists, and guided tours are given through the church and over the vaults.
