About Stichting Monument & Materiaal

Visit our website at: https://www.stichtingmenm.nl/

The Monument&Material Foundation (M&M) is a unique foundation that collects old historical building materials and makes them available for renovations and restorations that match the style and period of the building. At the old building materials department, building materials are repaired and materials are sold. The archaeology department assists with archaeological research in the municipality; the archaeological depot is located in the building on Westerbinnensingel. The secretariat handles the telephone, the newsletter, the website, and posts regarding lectures, etc. >

Approximately 25 volunteers work for the foundation.

The main objectives are acquiring and selling old, historical building materials. Organizing lectures and contributing to the yearbook Hervonden Stad en Land, about archaeological and architectural historical research and restorations in the municipality of Groningen. Making materials available for exhibitions. Excursions for the volunteers.
