Are you a warm and welcoming person who enjoys contributing to a relaxed and safe environment? Do you want to welcome visitors and ensure our spaces are ready for training sessions and conversations? Sedna Herstelacademie is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who would like to serve as hosts at our location in De Wijert and occasionally at other locations in the city of Groningen.
What do we offer?

Tasks and duties
As a host, you are responsible for:
- Welcoming visitors and making them feel welcome
- Providing information about our activities and opportunities
- Serving coffee, tea, and light refreshments
- Preparing and cleaning the rooms for activities
- Performing light household chores, such as tidying up used materials and Swiffering the room.
- Light administrative tasks, such as answering the phone, responding to messages, and keeping track of visitors
- With additional opportunities that suit you (creative, PR, facilities, etc.)
Working hours (Monday to Friday):
- Morning shift: 09:00 - 13:00 (4 hours)
- Afternoon shift: 13:00 - 17:00 (4 hours)
Skills and qualities
We are looking for someone who:
- Warm, friendly and hospitable is
- Can work independently and has an eye for detail
- Is flexible and solution-oriented
- Feels comfortable in a low-stimulus environment and enjoys helping with light household chores
- has good social and communication skills
- Has basic knowledge of the Dutch language (other languages are a plus)

About Sedna Recovery Academy:
The Recovery Academy is a place to find yourself, go on an adventure, and discover your own path. We offer space for growth to people in a recovery process, such as after a disruptive experience or a period of mental health issues. You can start to feel again that you matter and that you have possibilities.
We offer workshops, courses, and training sessions on various themes and activities. In addition, we offer work opportunities for volunteers.
