About Stichting WelMobiel
Stichting WelMobiel is active in the districts of Vinkhuizen, Lewenborg, Beijum, Oosterparkwijk, Hoogkerk, Korrewegwijk-De Hoogte, and adjacent neighborhoods. We also run a project against loneliness, The Museumshuttle, in collaboration with the Groninger Museum. For this, we have a passenger van equipped with a wheelchair lift, which we use to pick up participants from both the city and the province of Groningen and bring them back home.
We provide door-to-door service in the neighborhood with electric cars, ensuring that residents can once again actively participate in the community. This includes activities such as grocery shopping, visiting friends, but also traveling independently to the doctor, physiotherapy, hospital, and/or day care.
Our clients are primarily the elderly or people with mobility needs who can no longer do so independently.
Offering a sustainable and energy-neutral transport service to specific target groups, such as the elderly and people with disabilities, at the district/neighborhood level. Offering work experience placements with job placement assistance. It is possible to obtain a TaxiPas with us, enabling you to transition to paid employment via a Participation Job.
