Takecarebnb connects refugees with residence status with a Dutch family for three months. In addition, Takecarebnb collaborates with other organizations to advocate for the best start for these people. A good start significantly increases the chance that a refugee with residence status will become part of our society. Therefore, it is Takecarebnb's mission to offer these people the best start for their new life in the Netherlands.
A status holder stays in an asylum seekers' centre (AZC) until a home is found. Currently, due to the housing crisis, thousands of status holders are waiting for a home.
We engage in dialogue with both status holders and host families who register, looking for a good match. During the three-month stay, we remain in close contact with both the host family and the guest.
