- You contribute to better knowledge about autism in adults, from the perspective of people with autism themselves.
- You will become part of a team of more than 45 autistic adults. This way, you will get to know new people with autism. Our working methods are tailored to autistic characteristics.
- You will be clearly told what is expected of you. We work with written job descriptions and guidelines.
- You can do this volunteer work from home, from anywhere in the Netherlands or Belgium. All contact takes place via email, WhatsApp, and Teams.
Tasks and duties
We are looking for an autistic volunteer to coordinate the blogs published on our website.
On our blog website, Autisme iszijdig, a blog by someone with autism appears every week. Because various bloggers contribute, we showcase the multifaceted nature of autism. There is an editorial team that reviews the blogs and publishes them on the website; you do not have to do that. However, you are responsible for further coordination.
- You communicate with the bloggers about when they can submit a blog.
- You create a schedule of the promised blogs and assign them to an editor.
- You participate in the monthly coordinators' meeting via Teams (1 hour).
- When a comment comes in on a blog, log in to the website and check whether it is spam.
- You stay in contact with the editorial team members and meet with them a few times a year via Teams.
- You bundle blogs on the same theme into a PDF file twice a year.
- You organize an online meeting for all bloggers via Teams twice a year.
- You conduct an intake interview with new bloggers several times a year.
Skills and qualities
- You can work well independently, without anyone reminding you what to do.
- You can communicate well verbally and in writing about the work.
- You want to learn leadership in a volunteer context or already have experience with this.
Because we are an organization for and by autistic adults, we do not accept volunteers who are under 18 or who are not autistic themselves. This allows us to safeguard volunteer work experience placements for autistic adults and ensures that our activities remain based on our own experience of having autism as an adult.

This interview will last approximately 35-40 minutes. If you prefer, you are welcome to have someone you know present during the interview. If you wish, you can receive the questions in advance.
