De Beestenborg is a petting zoo with a playground in the Ulgersmaborg district (Groningen) that is run entirely by volunteers. We are open six days a week and organize various children's activities annually: the Sheep Shearing Festival, a Christmas market, and an Easter egg hunt. The petting zoo is well-attended. At the Sheep Shearing Festival, the number of visitors can reach as many as 1,000.

Tasks and duties
For the Communications Committee:
- Actively post on social media (Facebook, Instagram)
- Event publicity
- Recruitment of volunteers, visitors and donors (members)
For the Events Committee:
- Organization of Sheep Shearing Festival, Easter Activity, and Christmas Market
- Devising and organizing children's activities
- Arranging catering and market stalls
Skills and qualities
- Organizational talent, creativity and flexibility
- To collaborate
- Affinity with the petting zoo and the target group.
- For the communications committee, it is necessary to be proficient with social media.
Additional information
In addition to organizing the activities, you are also expected to help with the execution and be present on the day itself.

De Beestenborg is een zeer dier- en kindvriendelijke kinderboerderij. De doelstelling van de Beestenborg is om kinderen op een prettige en veilige manier kennis te laten maken met de boerderijdieren.
