Tasks and duties
Do you love walking and would you also like to make a difference in the Vinkhuizen neighborhood while walking? Then the Flyer Group Vinkhuizen might be something for you!
Flyer Groep Vinkhuizen is a working group of the residents' organization Wijkoverleg Vinkhuizen and distributes flyers and newsletters door-to-door for various events and activities in the neighborhood, such as the summer programs for children and adults in Vinkhuizen, as well as for the annual general meeting of Wijkoverleg Vinkhuizen.
At the moment, we are primarily looking for substitutes. Sometimes, regular volunteers are unable to help with an assignment. Therefore, we need people who are willing to pitch in every now and then. This way, we keep the work fairly distributed.
We currently distribute flyers for 4 regular organizations in the neighborhood (including Kiosk Diamantpark, Community Center De Wende, residents' association Wijkoverleg Vinkhuizen, Social Community Center Magma Vinkhuizen, and occasionally for individual clients), and we average around 8 to 10 flyering jobs per year. Coordination and communication take place via a WhatsApp group. Each volunteer is assigned their own section of the neighborhood to distribute flyers in consultation with the coordinator. The various areas range from about 195 to 670 mailboxes. All different areas are organized so that you are busy for approximately 1 to 3 hours. You may also spread an area over several days, as long as the flyers are delivered to residents by the agreed deadline. For each flyering job, you can indicate whether or not you can help. So, it is entirely without obligation!
Skills and qualities
Reasonable physical fitness. Being able to walk well and work well with the arms is important for this work.
Additional information
It is important that you live in the Vinkhuizen neighborhood yourself. You will be rewarded annually around Christmas with a volunteer allowance and, if possible, with a small extra gift from the residents' organization.
