GoudGoed's thrift stores collect usable goods. Goods are delivered to drop-off points or picked up (free of charge). Everything that is still usable is sorted and repaired if necessary. The items are priced and sold in one of the GoudGoed thrift stores.
Tasks and duties
A driver is the first person from WerkPro someone meets in person. It is nice if they have a customer-friendly demeanor. Some people have this naturally; others could still learn a thing or two in that regard. The driver is physically capable of performing the work and knows their way around the city. We depend on the 'likeability factor'; people prefer to entrust items to someone who comes across as pleasant. It is nice when you possess that likeability factor.
- We would like to see that you are customer-friendly and service-oriented.
- To load and unload, you must perform lifting operations using the available tools.
- For a participation job, you are available for at least 16 hours per week.
Are you hospitable, and do the customers and your colleagues enjoy your presence? Then we are happy to have you!
Skills and qualities
- You are in possession of a B driving license.
- You can deal with customers in a friendly and correct manner.
- You are capable of lifting.
- You can handle saleable items with care.
- You recognize what is sellable and what actually belongs in the dump.
- You can work in a team
- You participate in traffic responsibly and know how to handle various weather and road conditions.
Additional information
During an introductory meeting, we look at what you enjoy and where you want to grow. We assess your current situation and what is needed for a personal step forward. We are looking for a volunteer who, after a short onboarding period, can quickly become self-sufficient and strengthen the team.
During the introductory meeting, we assess your current situation and what you need. Sometimes, during this conversation, it also becomes clear that there is a possibility for a participation job (Municipality of Groningen, Zuidhorn), a reintegration program, or a day activity placement. Ultimately, the goal is for both of us to be satisfied with a pleasant workplace for you.
You may be eligible for an hourly rate, but if you also incur travel expenses, our reimbursement options for an hourly rate are limited. Please discuss this when you speak with us.
