Do you see opportunities and do you get energy from securing financial support for wonderful projects? Do you have a knack for writing, a good network, and do you know how to get people excited to participate? Then join our fundraising team as a volunteer and help the Hortus continue to flourish.
Tasks and duties
As a fundraiser, you will focus on raising funds for a wide variety of projects at Hortus Haren. You will write compelling proposals and advance them within the organization. Additionally, you will advise on potential opportunities and help convert them into concrete results. With your enthusiasm and insight, you will contribute to realizing our ambitions and preserving the unique value of the Hortus.
We are looking for someone willing to take responsibility for putting the right text on our site for donors.

Wants to work on securing funds for, for example, the restoration of the Celtic Garden and the Laarmantuin.
Skills and qualities
The fundraiser:
- Has experience or interest in fundraising.
- Willing/able to take responsibility for posting the correct texts for donors on our website.
- Can provide well-substantiated grant applications, ranging from a few thousand euros to more.
- Can/willing to assist in securing funds, for example for the restoration of the Celtic Garden and the Laarmantuin.
- Is creative, resourceful, and sees opportunities where others might not notice them.
- Contributes to preserving and strengthening the Hortus Haren.
