Are you creative, sociable, and do you enjoy making connections? Would you like to help think about how we can make the Hortus more visible to a broad audience? We are looking for a communications assistant to help strengthen our communication and expand our network.
Together with the communications team, you work on making the Hortus, our activities, and events visible. You help build new collaborations and contribute to the image of one of the most beautiful green locations in the Northern Netherlands.
Tasks and duties
What are you going to do:
- Keeping track of the communication email
- Schedule appointments
- Update press lists
- Writing communication plans for events
- Contribute ideas to annual plans
- Writing press releases and other communication texts
- Maintaining old contacts and building new contacts and collaborations
- Contribute ideas on how to put the Hortus better on the map
- Taking minutes during meetings
Skills and qualities
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys making new contacts
- Is creative and has strong communication skills
- Can work well together
- Can work independently and shows initiative
- Has an affinity with nature, culture, and events
- You are present at the Hortus for at least one half-day per week and can work partly from home.
