Interesting or nice about this vacancy
Guide debt-dependent freelancers towards financial independence with patience, structure, and courage.
What's in it for you?
- the chance to make a real difference in the lives of freelancers and small business owners with your knowledge and experience
- appreciation from clients, colleagues, and society
- an independent, meaningful role within a professional volunteer organization
- support from a dedicated team and thorough internal training
- flexibility to organize your own work.
Tasks and duties
What are you going to do?
As a Case Manager at Over Rood, you primarily support self-employed professionals facing financial difficulties. You help them organize their administration, make decisions regarding their business operations, and find their inner strength. Your goal: to empower clients to take action themselves towards a financially healthy future.
This is often a real challenge. Processes can be difficult, clients sometimes struggle to take action, and not every process ends with a solution. Yet, that is precisely what makes your role so valuable: you help where others give up. You provide structure, set boundaries, and stand by the client, even when the process is slow.
You will be trained in Over Rood's working methods and supervised by a branch manager. An important part of the work involves accurately recording progress in the client tracking system. This is essential for the quality of our care and for accountability to our partners, such as municipalities and grant providers.
On average, you support 5 to 10 self-employed professionals per year, with a time commitment of approximately 4 hours per week. You receive an expense allowance.
Skills and qualities
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you if you see it as a mission to get stuck freelancers moving and regaining their self-reliance, even if that sometimes happens slowly or in fits and starts. You keep a cool head, can maintain distance, and take decisive action.
In addition:
- Do you have an affinity with freelancers or good knowledge of entrepreneurship?
- Are you financially savvy, with knowledge of administration and taxes?
- can you listen well and connect, without losing control
- Are you patient, stress-resistant, and able to handle disappointments?
- You work in a structured manner and are willing to work consistently with the client tracking system.
- Do you have at least an MBO level, preferably an HBO level of work and thinking, and a good command of the Dutch language?
